Within these pages we follow the advent
of Military aviation in Germany. Its tragic consequences to flight crew also of his own personal
tragedy. He has given us much input on aviation and philatelic history of
that era. Whether one condones or not the reasons of his own man-made fate.
We leave that to the reader to judge the issues of this man has had to live
with his past for over half a century.
.
Alex Vanags-Baginskis and I worked
together many years ago on a study of bi-lingual postmarks within ‘Ostland’,
It was published by the German Philatelic Society in England. 'Alex' is a
specialist in WW II aircraft as he was an aircraft technician in that peiod.
Highly regarded in aviation and in philatelic circles for his technical
